Burp Cloths for Baby Johnson

Last week Miss Cassie J came over and I taught her the wonder of my awesome sewing machine, the machine in which I have used maybe 10 times since i've owned it for 7 years!

Although it was all straight lines, these burp cloths were so fun and adorable to make! we made them 12" x 18" ( give or take a few centimeters depending on my awesome cutting and lack of measuring skills)

 It didn't take her very long to get the hang of it

 I love the fabric she chose! so adorable!!! we did flannel as our absorbent side- there is a ton of pinterest ones out there that use fancy chenille, or towels...pfft- flannel works just fine!

 Cassie even did the 1/4" finishing edges, now they look professional!

 This is a great starter set of burp cloths! I can't wait to make some for my own babies one day.

Speaking of own babies..we were unsuccessful this month with our treatment. So, round two of Clomid. Cross your fingers,send us good baby vibes..whatever ya got! Read below this funny analogy from Wes. He is so funny..everything is related to sports in one way or another :) He is such a great supporter though, seriously. He see's how hard I struggle to get through the emotions of it all and manages to lift my spirits.

Weekend Project: Repurposing

I bought this frame months and months ago, with the intention of making it into a chalkboard. I am so glad I finally got around to it. It was so easy and I love how it turned out!

Valentines and Such....

Early Valentines Dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. YUM! we've been here twice now and both times have been amazing. So good!

Then for Valentines day, Wes got me this sweet bracelet! Husband of the Year? I think so!

 and i love when my scentsy orders come in, especially on valentines day! I got Posy Peach and Caramel Pear Cider (something like that) and French Lavendar for the bedroom.

I dote on this man! Love him to pieces!

So week 1 of the Clomid started on 2/13. I took it at night and the next day I felt fine. But today i got emotional..so funny! I started to tear up when Wes asked me to drive to work today . I hope everyday isn't like this....i also hope that it works and so that i don't have to go through it again. 

Oh I made these lovely muffins  for Valentines as well..best muffins you will ever make! heres the recipe-
