San Diego: Day 2- San Diego Zoo!

The sun came out today! loved it! Perfect San Diego weather too! This zoo is huge..and hilly- i am certain my breakfast calories were easily burned off within the first 3 hours of walking. on this day my ankle was really bothering me, so i was kind of moody from the walking. I just remember that night looking at how swollen and achy it was. I would recommend to everyone to try and never have an ankle injury- its so slow to heal and ruins everything! Other than that, I tried to capture my favorite parts of the zoo

Elephant Side

Mammoth Side

Love these kids interacting with this guy

This elephant was going though a physical therapy session on his feet
Im certain this guy was itching his crotch on this boulder

I was really thinking about an ice cold coke here
Feasting on his buffet

this bird is extinct, im glad i was able to see it in person.
Mean muggin it
Witness evolution

His face made me a little sad...once in lifetime shot

San Diego: Day 1- SEAWORLD!

Our first day started with the trip to Seaworld! Although i took a crap load of pics- I still feel like i didn't get to capture all the fun shows and funny moments. They are in the memory bank though. The sun was pretty absent this day.
We started our morning eating at the Mission Valley Cafe "San Diego's Home Cooking" and it was fantastic.

Then we waited for the hotel shuttle to take us to Seaworld.

Wes was actually "made" in San Diego..born and raised til about 4 years old
Loved this ride that showed us the Park and of San Diego
The Manta rollercoaster! it was one of the best rides i've ever been on!

 Sea Animals

Feeding the seals

Beluga Whales- Wes knows a song titled "Baby Beluga", searched for it on his iPhone and played it for all of us...thats all we could sing for the rest of the day.

Where to next, buddy?

The Whale Show

The dolphin show was almost like Cirque de Soleil of the Sea, it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen with the costumes and dancing and aerials by the performers. I tried to snap just the animals, but honestly it was a show full of people dressed as birds.

Pilot whale...although i called it the Black Beluga the whole show..

Sea Lion Show
this little river otter was the funniest part of the sea lion show

Wrapping it all up
